We've all witnessed this 2020 that has just passed. It was definitely something to say the least. But after Christmas Day, God made me sit down and just soak in all that happened in 2020, the good and the bad. After being sat there for what felt like an hour, just in silence. BTW, there is power in just doing nothing, it's not spoken about much because we feel like we should be doing something otherwise we are bad Christians. I was there before, moving like Martha, when it was Mary that had chosen the good part.
Luke 10:38-42; “Now it happened as they went that He entered a certain village; and a certain woman named Martha welcomed Him into her house. And she had a sister called Mary, who also sat at Jesus’ feet and heard His word. But Martha was distracted with much serving, and she approached Him and said, “Lord, do You not care that my sister has left me to serve alone? Therefore tell her to help me.” And Jesus answered and said to her, “Martha, Martha, you are worried and troubled about many things. But one thing is needed, and Mary has chosen that good part, which will not be taken away from her.””
So there I was, sat there.., no tongues, no talking, no singing, no dancing and a Word came to me "Diana, why are you pretending to be strong?". I had come to God like I come to my friends, bold, strong and happy when the truth is, my strength can end but His can't. The end of my strength is the beginning of His. Things may be falling apart in your life but you've never brought the case (Isaiah 41:21) before God as you thought things can't be shifted in the spirit because that's just the way He planned things to go and you have to be okay with that. But truly and really, if Hezekiah just accepted what Isaiah said to him and thanked God, it would've came to pass but it wasn't until Hezekiah prayed and cried to God that 15 more years were added to his life (Isaiah 38). Bring your case before God; broken families, broken relationships, broken friendships, job losses (especially in this pandemic) or broken bank accounts. Give all your heavy laden to Him and don't pretend you can carry it, you can't! Be as a child! Children can't pretend, they may go a couple times until they just cry and look at their parents like "HELP".
God said to Paul in 2 Corinthians 12:9 "My grace is sufficient for you, for MY STRENGTH is made perfect in weakness". So it is those weaknesses you should boast in because the power of Christ shall rest upon you.
Being alone, also, doesn't mean you are lonely. Sometimes I feel the most comfort when I am alone as your focus is more fixed when there's no distractions. So let's remove the facade and tell Him what's really going on.
Declaration:
When I am weak, I am strong because He is my strength for it is no longer I that lives but Christ that lives inside me. I surrender my all and come to You broken and empty so that You can fill me up and restore my soul. 2021 will be my year in Jesus name.
Psalms 34:18
"The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves such as have a contrite spirit"
